General Information

As the Spring Rec season ends, All-Star teams are selected for 8U, 10U, and 12U to represent Vista Girls Softball in Southern California All-Star tournaments throughout the summer.  

The decision to consider participating in All-Stars is important for each family to discuss as it is an additional expense beyond the normal recreation season, and requires a significant time commitment; however, the rewards are also significant.  

 During the All-Star season the players will receive a higher level of instruction and coaching  which will help develop them to play at the next level.  From May thru July the teams typically practice for 2 hours every week-night and attend tournaments for 8-10 consecutive weekends.

Key Dates

• Mon 4/8: 2024 All-Star Interest & Eligibility packets available for Team Mom/Parents
• Fri 4/19: Manager interest forms due (must be 2024 Spring Rec Manager or Coach)
• Mon 4/29: All-Star Manager interviews & selection via Board vote
• Fri 4/26: All-Star Interest form responses due to Spring rec manager or VGS Board
• Wed 5/1: All-Star tryouts (8U 5pm, 10U 6pm, 12U 7pm)
• Thu 5/2: 2024 All-Star rosters posted / players notified 
• Mon 5/6: Practices can begin anytime on or after this date (team Manager’s discretion) 
• Fri 5/10: All-Star tournament play begins
